DPM 2010 protects highly available virtual machines (VM) implemented on Windows Server 08 R2 using Cluster Distributed Volumes (CSV) clusters in addition to standalone Hyper-V servers and Windows Machine 2008 Hyper-V clusters. First Location Recovery. DPM 2010 supports online recovery of the protected VM to the first location.
Alternate Number Recovery. DPM 2010 facilitates alternate location recovery (ALR) that enables you to restore a Hyper-V VM to an alternate stand-alone or clustered Hyper-V host.
